Last year, the good folks at Timekettle approached Somos Digital to help them with the Indiegogo campaign management for their cool new product, the Zero translator.
While this wasn't their first crowdfunding rodeo - they had previously completed a successful Kickstarter campaign - they hadn't executed an Indiegogo campaign before and needed our help to make a big splash with their unique product offering.
Because the product had a relatively low price and margins, we knew we would need to produce higher-than-average conversions to achieve satisfactory results for the campaign.
Thanks to our successful lead generation campaign, we were able to reach the soft goal of $25,000 within 24 hours of campaign launch. That allowed for the campaign to be pushed by the Indiegogo platform, significantly boosting results. Thanks to our well-designed lead collection landing page, our pre-launch emails converted at a very high rate of 4.76%.
Despite a competitor launching a similar product on the Indiegogo platform just days after the Zero campaign launch, we still kept momentum throughout the campaign and ended on a high note with an active Facebook group, engaged backers and over $400k raised.
