Amazon consumer electronics giant Aukey approached us in Q4 of 2019 with the aim of leveraging their existing social media platforms to move beyond competitors with an engaged, dedicated community with a distinctive brand voice. Aukey was internally deliberating which direction to bring their brand and sought Somos’ guidance during a 3-month transitional period.
To aid brand growth, Somos worked closely alongside the Aukey team to maintain their high standard of visual creatives while extending social media presence. We at Somos tapped into our extensive experience managing consumer electronics pages to offer creative ideas and execution of campaigns, content planning, and media buying.
In November, Aukey established the goals of obtaining 4,000 new Facebook fans each month and gathering 100,000 e-mail leads by the end of December.
After partnering with Somos, all 3 social channels saw significant growth that exceeded Aukey’s initial expectations. By the end of December, we had generated 100,000 leads, Aukey’s Facebook page gained 7,500 new fans and the engagement rate increased by 38.69%.
In 2020, we continued to foster this success to produce great results and begun implementing more Somos in-house content and framed our content in a way that encouraged fans to join the newly launched Aukey Community.
In our 3-month period working together, Aukey’s Facebook page saw an engagement rate increase from 2.30% to 3.89% and16,702 new fans. We generated a total of 237,551 new leads.
